01/07/2024

Our organisation has had another year of growth and we're lucky to be welcoming two new starters in our Strategy + Place team in 2024.

Alastair Leighton

He joins as a co-Director of our Strategy + Place team – adding enormous value and experience. He has a broad remit to embed ambition, integration, and positive legacies into the Queensland growth agenda; to deliver place-based value through positive and lasting change.

With 25 years in the master planning, urban design, and landscape architecture space, he has amassed extensive national and international experience, including advocacy and advisory roles driving city-shaping outcomes.

She excels at solving complex problems and effectively communicates ideas and concepts to deliver well-considered outcomes. She has over 18 years' experience in all phases of the design development process extends from the visioning, initial concept formation and master planning through to the detailed development plans and material – experience and technical expertise that is already adding value to the WCG team.

As we move into a new financial year full of change and growth, we're thrilled to have Alastair and Kirsten on board.
