Shea Residences is an architecturally designed boutique residential development proposal by Sunland Group on the former Pink Palace site at St Lucia. The design outcome is 28 luxury independent villas sharing landscaped grounds and recreation spaces. Features of the redevelopment include retention of some of the showpieces from the Pink Palace, including the Neptune statue and the pavilion, which will now be visible from Swann Road and integrated into the shared recreational facilities. The site layout reflects the scale of the surrounding area and reintroduces the traditional rhythm of the streetscape, with 14 duplex style villas across the 14 existing lots, on which the original Pink Palace was majestically positioned. Residents will enjoy sweeping views to the Brisbane CBD, Brisbane River and Mt Coot-tha from villas.
