Disciplines/Services

  • Design

The WCG landscape team worked closely with the client to design healing / sensory gardens and therapeutic landscapes to improve quality of life and assist in remediation and therapy for aged care residents. The designs were based on nine key design considerations - sustainability, orientation/location, accessibility, socialisation, meaningful activities, reminiscence, sensory stimulation, safety and variety. Privacy was maximised using extensive buffer planting using native species to the site perimeter.

The WCG Value add

  • Working closely with the client to provide designs that align with the core caring / rehabilitation model adopted by Opal.
