The ASAHI Beverages facility at Wulkuraka is a $35m project, comprising 14,000m2+ gross floor area for the production, processing and distribution of non-alcoholic beverages.  At maximum capacity, the facility will operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, producing in the order of 10,000,000L of beverages per annum.  The development is responsive to significant engineering constraints and achieves an attractive streetscape presentation through architectural design, building materials and landscaping.

Planning

  • ASAHI’s commitment to the project was predicated on achieving development approval in a compressed timeframe.
  • WCG was initially responsible for recommending a development application strategy to minimise key risks, to ensure that our client, CIP Constructions, were able to deliver within the required timeframe.
  • WCG managed the pre-lodgement engagement phase and ultimately prepared, lodged and managed the development application, including statutory processes involving the local government authority, State referral agency and Department of Defence.
  • Ultimately, the development application was approved within the critical timeframe, allowing ASAHI Beverages to commit to the project.
