Yeerongpilly Green, also known as Yeerongpilly TOD, is earmarked to become Brisbane’s new lifestyle precinct, transforming 14ha of State-owned riverfront land into a vibrant urban village. The precinct will deliver a mix of residential, retail, commercial and community uses, a high quality public realm and improved public transport connectivity, together with restoration and adaptation of the site’s heritage values. The catalyst for this transformation was the creation of a master plan and design code, brought together into a State Planning Regulatory Provision for the redevelopment of the site drafted by Wolter Consulting Group, for DSDIP, together with a broad design based consultancy team led by Deicke Richards. The team is a finalist in the 2015 PIA Awards for Planning Excellence in the projects category for a Hard Won Victory.
