Michael Wolter, Managing Director

With more than 30 years experience across a broad range of disciplines, Michael’s expertise lies in large master-planned communities and strategic projects.

Michael has overseen the master-planning of many large developments in south east Queensland including the Rochedale Urban Village.

Michael served on the Brisbane City Council’s Rochedale Task Force to drive the master-planning of the emerging Rochdale area, advising on a strategy for a sustainable community that will be home to 10,000 people.

Respected within the industry, Michael is an active member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) and has a lead role on the Brisbane City Council / UDIA Liaison Committee.

Andrew Crawford

Andrew brings to the Wolter team 20 years experience across all areas of planning and development. Andrew has vast experience in strategic planning in both the public and private sectors.

Andrew has held key planning roles including managing the $4 billion Brisbane Urban Renewal Task Force as well as Senior Planner in the SEQ Regional Planning Unit.

During his time on the Brisbane Urban Renewal Task Force, Andrew established the statutory planning framework for the urban renewal areas including facilitating major development projects and overseeing the delivery of major supporting infrastructure.

Natalie has 19 years experience in town planning in both the public and private sector and managing approval processes for residential, commercial and industrial developments.

Natalie has extensive knowledge of Queensland’s planning legislation, and is responsible for managing and growing Wolter’s planning law services.

She also has experience providing professional training on Queensland’s planning legislation and regularly serves as an expert witness in the Planning and Environment Court.

Don has been with Wolter Consulting Group since 1996 and has more than 30 years experience as a cadastral surveyor.

He has worked on a range of residential, industrial and commercial projects including conducting major construction set-out surveys for the Brisbane Airport.

Tony has more than 27 years experience in surveying and over that time has attained a wide range of experience in the various surveying disciplines including: rural & urban cadastral surveys, mining tenure surveys, engineering surveys, topographic surveys, hydrographic surveys and GPS surveys.

Tony plays an active role in advancing the profession of surveying and currently sits on, the Divisional Committee of the Institution of Surveyors Australia (Queensland Division), the Land Surveying Executive of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (Queensland Region) and the Cadastral Integrity Committee.

Rachael has significant localised and international experience in statutory planning, strategic planning, master planning and urban design. Rachael’s body of work extends from urban design transport infrastructure projects, through to the master planning of new mixed use communities. Rachael recently returned from an assignment in the Middle East where she worked on the development and implementation of mixed use development control regulations for a mixed use master planned community.

At Wolter Consulting Group, Rachael manages a range of urban design and planning projects and is constantly aiming to challenge her teams approach to planning for urban growth. She is well educated on the latest initiatives relating to designing for safety and crime prevention.

Rachael is committed to sharing her approach to planning and urban design with colleagues and has more recently taken to lecturing at the University of Queensland to share experiences and assist in guiding the future direction of planning.

Sue has more than 35 years experience in the preparation of surveying and engineering plans. Sue has been an integral part of Wolter Consulting Group since its inception in 1993.

With Sue’s vast experience in survey drafting she has been responsible for the training of staff, and supervises the introduction of all new procedure practices. This has resulted in the enviable plan drafting standard the company has achieved and continues to maintain.

Bruce is a surveyor and information technology specialist with experience in spatial information management and spatial information systems design and development, including the Department of Natural Resources and Mines' electronic survey plan processing and digital lodgement project.

Nigel is a Registered Surveying Graduate with 12 years experience in the surveying profession. Nigel has had a wide range of surveying experience, with a particular emphasis on all aspects of residential subdivision and strata titled developments. His current duties include discussions with clients, preparation of survey fee estimates, supervision of field parties, supervision of plan drafting, complex calculations for construction set out and boundary definition, database management and quality assurance on survey tasks.

Mark has over 20 years survey experience in land development in Queensland , with the majority related to land subdivision. He is a current member of the Spatial Sciences Institute and has been a licensed Cadastral Surveyor since 1997.

He has also worked in the Resource Development Industry associated with mineral exploration in both central Queensland and New South Wales.
